Whippoorwill Farms SC Agritourism Campground Rules & Regulations

Whippoorwill Farms SC (referred to as WWFSC) is a WORKING FARM which means, the farm’s purpose is to grow and raise products which feed the local community.  There are many aspects to the farm that make it inherently dangerous and as a guest you are acknowledging that an agritourism professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant resulting from an inherent risk of an agritourism activity, and no participant or participant’s representative may make a claim against, maintain an action against, or recover from an agritourism professional for injury, loss, damage, or death of the participant resulting from an inherent risk of an agritourism activity.  This includes all members of your visiting party, including any incidents with your pet that could occur.

Whippoorwill Farms SC uses working dogs in their operation and are considered “LIVESTOCK” on our farm.  You will encounter them during your stay.  They may be herding other livestock that get out, chasing off birds of prey or simply marking their territory for predators.  Working dogs stay out all night long.  You may at times hear them barking and warding off predators.

You will be asked to sign a waiver upon arrival to the farm that you acknowledge the Pet Policy and our other policies. When you visit the farm with your pet, it is important that you follow these directions to have a safe and enjoyable visit.
  1. Cats must stay inside of the RV at all times
  2. Dogs must remain leashed at all times and never left unattended outside
  3. Dogs can be walked on-leash, ONLY in the agritourism area and cannot go on paths marked “Working Farm Dogs Only Beyond This Point” 
  4. Dogs must be with you at all times and never left unattended outside (even if on-leash and tethered)
  5. Clean up after your dog(s) and do not leave waste or waste bags behind 
  6. If you are staying multiple nights with a dog and you leave for the day, please check in with us upon returning so we know you might be out walking your dog again
  7. If your dog is uncomfortable or inappropriate with other dogs, please let us know on arrival so we can ensure our dogs and yours, stay safe
  8. Guest agrees that if their pet injures, maims or kills any WWFSC livestock, WWFSC reserves the right to charge an additional property damage fee, at the market rate of said livestock
  9. Guests understands that any problem with pets, including but not limited to injury, illness or death that occurs while on our premises, guests assume full financial responsibility for any and all expenses and agrees to indemnify and hold Whippoorwill Farms SC, LLC and its employees harmless
  10. Guests agrees to follow all other general camping and safety policies listed at whippoorwillfarmssc.com/rulesandregulations which were also sent to them in their confirmation email upon booking and clearly stated on the website during booking.

Other important general policies you will be asked to abide by:
  1. There is a strict no refund policy for all reservations
  2. Check in for paid sites is between 1pm and 5pm. Check in for boondocking is 3pm to 5pm. If you are late to your reservation, we reserve the right to let you know that we cannot accommodate you for after hours check in
  3. Checkout for paid sites is no later than 11am. Check out for boondocking is no later than 10am
  4. No dumping of any refuse or waste, including grey water, from any trailer or other vehicle. This includes dumping your waste into the portable restroom. All waste, including household garbage needs to leave in your vehicle or RV upon departure.
  5. No operating vehicles in a reckless manner or under the influence
  6. No acting in a disorderly manner or creating any noise which would result in annoyance to others
  7. All fires must be confined to designated grills or areas
  8. All fencing on property is electrified and should not be touched, reached over or climbed over
  9. No reaching into or climbing into animal habitats to pet or touch animals
  10. No persons or domestic animals may enter irrigation pond and caution should be exercised when around it as it is very deep
  11. Caution should be taken when walking the property as there is ground that may not be level and other potential walking hazards
  12. Please be aware of wildlife while walking trails and through woods, wild life should not be approached
  13. Children must be accompanied at all times and are not permitted to play on camp host areas or owner areas of the farm

Any failure to abide by these rules will result in immediate removal from the farm with no refund for the remaining nights of reservation.

An agritourism professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant resulting from an inherent risk of an agritourism activity, and no participant or participant’s representative may make a claim against, maintain an action against, or recover from an agritourism professional for injury, loss, damage, or death of the participant resulting from an inherent risk of an agritourism activity unless the agritourism professional:

(1) intentionally injured or caused the death of the participant or committed an act or omission that constitutes wilful, wanton, or reckless disregard for the safety of the participant and that act or omission caused the injury or death; or

(2) owns, leases, rents, or otherwise is in lawful possession and control of the land or facilities upon which the participant sustained injuries or death because of a dangerous latent condition which was known or should have been known to the agritourism professional.
