About Our Instructors on the Farm

Christine is originally from North Carolina, born and raised. She attended North Carolina State University, where she studied Elementary Education and went directly into teaching third grade in North Carolina. While teaching third grade for three years, she traveled extensively across the world. She has checked off 6 of the 7 continents! She has hiked some of the most difficult trails in the world and thrives off new and exciting situations. After traveling she knew it was time to move from North Carolina. She set her sights on San Diego, CA and was offered a job teaching fourth grade. Unfortunately, the school she taught at had to close. It was time to challenge herself in a new career, the ever-growing world of digital media. Christine now works full time remotely for a TV production company, based in San Diego. With her fiancé in the military, her family made the move to Bluffton, SC where they have resided since July 2021. She and her fiancé have two dogs, Cali and Gunner. In an effort to immerse herself in the Lowcountry community, she was seeking a volunteer opportunity. She came across Whippoorwill Farms and has enjoyed it since Day One. Now she gets the chance to combine her love for working outdoors and with kids into one unique experience; Learn on the Farm Kids.
