Beekeeping 101 – The Harvest – with Camp Arnold

Cost: $100 Preregistration or $125 for walk ups per person if there is space (space is limited to ensure everyone gets plenty of hands on experience and attention)
What you’ll need: water bottle, notebook, something to write with, close toed shoes, snack and your curiosity

It’s time to harvest honey on the farm and we want you to join us! Get a hands on look at how to harvest honey from the on farm beehives. Leave not only with a first hand experience of how to harvest honey but also leave with honey from the hives for yourself! We will be going over all the things you need to know about harvesting honey, how much honey to leave behind and how to use a honey extractor!
This class is approximately 2 hours long and geared for people who are interested in learning about beekeeping and how to harvest honey. Camp Arnold of Beaufort Bees will be your instructor for this class, teaching about the hives, the bees, the frames and all things honey harvesting!
Camp has been a respected Beekeeper in the Lowcountry for many years. As an apprentice who worked under Greg Ferris of Ferris Apiaries, he has been trained in many different aspects of beekeeping. He is passionate and excited to share his knowledge to help others in our Lowcountry community on their Beekeeping Journeys!
All class registration and payments are final. Classes are held rain or shine. Payment is non refundable or transferable.
