This class is 2 hours long and is geared toward beginning environmental enthusiasts interested in learning more about permaculture, what it means and how to create permaculture spaces in your own home. But more so even than creating the spaces, we’ll be talking about the why of permaculture and the impact permaculture can have on your land or even little piece of suburbia. We will discuss different methods and principles involved in permaculture and small steps to take in getting started. We’ll also discuss local resources and places to find necessary items at the best cost. We’ll also discuss our season for planting in the Lowcountry and when it’s best for planting different vegetables.
If you’re interested in gardening or more sustainable living in the Lowcountry, come out to the farm to walk our forests, tour our gardens and understand permaculture and the systems we have in place on our farm and how you too can get started in permaculture.
Class sign ups are non-refundable – Class will be held Rain or Shine – Space is limited to allow for a lot of hands on experience and attention to detail for each person
